SHELL LAKE DAM REMOVAL. The work covered under this solicitation shall consist of the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to demolish and remove existing concrete outlet dam. Contractor will be required to demo and remove the existing concrete dam. Dam demo and removal shall include all concrete, steel, wood and any other materials to an elevation 3 ft. below existing lake/stream bottom. See general drawings of typical dam construction during that time era. If it becomes necessary to dewater for dam removal, the contractor shall submit their dewatering plan to the engineer. The plan must be approved before any dewatering in started. Erodible coffer dam material will not be allowed, so no free embankment. Water pumped from excavation must be run through filter bag sized for discharge. The project location is near City of Osage, Becker County, Minnesota
