Bangor: Demolition of the former W.L. Hamilton building located at 327 N. Center Street in Bangor, MI. In addition to the demolition of the building and transportation and disposal of building materials, the scope of work will include the abatement of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), PCB ballasts, and universal wastes. The site contains a single-story former manufacturing building, covering an area of approximately 6,500 square feet. Concrete masonry unit block walls are present throughout the majority of the building. However, brick and ceramic block are the materials used for construction of the front of the building and some interior walls. The building has wood trusses and asphalt roofing. A small 14 ft. x 15 ft. basement is present in the west office part of the building. The first floor has collapsed into the basement. A small 12 ft. x 18 ft. shed located south of the former manufacturing building, also to be demolished, was used to house soil vapor extraction treatment equipment in the past.
