Harpswell: Mitchell Field Pier Removal PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The marine fuel terminal pier facility was constructed in the 1950s for the US Navy. The project includes demolition to the seabed of all pier elements seaward of the existing approach causeway. The Base Bid includes transfer of all demolition materials ashore on the property with space allocated for material handling and processing for offsite recycling or disposal. Alternate Bid Items include an option for barging materials to an offsite location to be identified by the Contractor. The Base Bid work has federal, state and local approvals and can start this fall. The work must be completed by May 1, 2019
