AAC: Sands Road Bridge Replacement over Wilson Owens Branch This project will demolish and construct a new 2-lane bridge approximately 40 feet in length over Wilson Owens Branch. Major work items include: excavation, stream diversion, pile driving, abutments, steel beams, concrete deck, realignment / reconstruction / resurfacing of approach roadways (approximately 1400 LF), stormwater management, erosion / sediment control, maintenance of traffic (i.e. temporary traffic signal), roadway appurtenances, and all other work necessary to complete construction.
