New Bedford: The scope of The Coal Pocket Pier Reconstruction project includes the full demolition and reconstruction of Coal Pocket Pier, an existing timber pile supported pier inclusive of fender system, electrical service, timber mooring piles, bituminous pavement patching, and appurtenances. The scope also includes the removal and replacement of existing timber fender piles and concrete pile repairs at Steamship Pier, and excavation and repairs to steel sheet pile tie backs at Leonard's Wharf.
