Logansport: demolition of the Trelleborg concrete building pad and site restoration. The Project will be conducted in Four (4) Stages, defined and outlined as follows: Stage 1 Pre-Demolition Work will include all notifications, insurance, and project documentation. The scope also includes mobilization, utility identification, erosion control and permits. Stage 2 Demolition, off-site Disposal of Debris Demolition of the Former Trelleborg building concrete pad (approximately 236,142 sq. ft. / 5.42-acres) will include demolishing the former building pad, loading and hauling for recycling/disposal at an approved disposal /re-use facility or other facility able to accept exempt debris. The buildings slabs and foundations will be removed to at least 3-feet below grade. Work will include notifications, insurance, site preparation, protection of utilities, protection of existing monitoring wells, and compliance with bid specifications. Stage 3 Soil Excavation A limited excavation of approximately 500 tons of arsenic impacted soil at the site. The soil shall be disposed of at a (nonhazardous) Subtitle D Landfill approved to accept the soil. Stage 4 Site Restoration Upon receiving approval from the Engineer that the demolition of the building pad and the soil excavation (if conducted) is complete and performed according to the specifications the contractor will provide and place approved backfill material, seed and cover according to bid specifications. Work will include approval of all materials before placement. The work to be performed and the proposal to be submitted shall include sufficient and proper sums for all general demolition, removal, construction, mechanical, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and so forth incidental to and required for the demolition of the facilities.
