[FONT=Verdana]Project Summary Description: This project contains a base offer. The project includes, but is not limited to, the following: The following work will be performed at the [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]John[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]W.[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]Peck[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]Federal[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]Building[/FONT][FONT=Verdana]; [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]550 Main Street[/FONT][FONT=Verdana], [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]Cincinnati[/FONT][FONT=Verdana], [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]OH[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] The project includes but may not be limited to the complete renovation of the Front Entrance Lobby. Interior work and exterior work is included. Alterations to the two secondary public entrances will also be performed as part of the Construction Phasing Plan that will provide for the closing of the Main Entrance for renovation to proceed. The exterior front paving/waterproofing will be modified to allow for an extension of the glass/metal stone front lobby enclosure. New security bollards at the front entrance will be installed as well as a new entry awning roof with storm drainage. The glass lobby enclosure will be replaced with an expanded and blast rated glass/stone front enclosure. Two new [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]ADA[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] automatic door entrance/exits are included as are three new revolving doors and other exit leaf door. Other peripheral exterior work is included. The interior of the Main Entrance Lobby will undergo a major renovation while the building remains open for business. The Main Entrance Lobby will be extended outward towards the street. New interior finishes are included in the entrance Lobby and first floor main corridor. Modifications will be made to the lighting, ceiling construction, flooring, and wall finishes. The Main Entrance Lobby includes the Security Screening Portal to the [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]Federal[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]Building[/FONT][FONT=Verdana]. The Main Entrance Lobby is the primary entrance for visitors and building employees. Existing Security Screening equipment will be temporarily relocated to other entrances as shown in the Phasing Plan. This will allow the Main Entrance Lobby to be closed for construction. New security turnstiles, as well as existing and new electronic screening equipment, will be installed in the Main Entrance Lobby before it is opened to the public/Employees. Security equipment including monitors, cameras, and alarms may be installed by Government contractors. This contract includes back boxes and other secondary installations as further detailed in the specifications and contract drawings. Contract completion time is 360 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated range of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This procurement is open to all business concerns in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Woman owned, Veteran owned, Service Disabled Veteran owned, HUBZone and Small Disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to submit an offer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $31 million. Proposals will be opened privately. GSA, PBS, Office of Tenant Operations, will no longer mail hardcopies of the solicitation or issue solicitations via the Federal Business Opportunities website, http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. It is fully integrated with other electronic government initiatives such as FedBizOpps and the Central Contract Registration (CCR) database, and is available for use by all Federal agencies. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with CCR. The Central Contractor Registration database is a part of the Business Partner Network, an e-gov initiative, and will be used to validate vendor identity. Effective [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]October 1, 2003[/FONT][FONT=Verdana], all government contractors must be registered in CCR prior to receiving an award. Also, beginning [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]January 1, 2005[/FONT][FONT=Verdana], as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors will be required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission process. ORCA is a web-based system that centralizes and standardizes the collection, storage and viewing of many of the FAR required representations and certifications previously found in solicitations. With ORCA, you now have the ability to enter and maintain your representation and certification information, at your convenience, via the Internet at http://orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendment(s), if any, to the solicitation.
