This project is for construction of a fully enclosed scheduled maintenance hangar (approximately 28,200 sf) for the kc135 aircraft for the afr and ang associated units at tinker afb. The facility has been designed for isochronal maintenance and does not include painting or fuel cell maintenance. The site is located south of the main diagonal runway at tinker afb near two existing hangars, b1030 amd b1082. This project includes the demolition of three existing buildings, b1037, b1041, and b1045, within the footprint of the new facility. These three buildings total 12,072 sf. The hangar includes administration area with a ready room, offices, and building services such as hydraulics and wheel shops. Construction of an additional parking lot for privately owned vehicles is also included in this project.
