Rush County SWMD : White Felt Project Organization. The Rush County Solid Waste Management District is a local unit of government which oversees the collection and disposal of household hazardous waste and the collection of certain recyclable products to reduce the amount of waste put into landfills. The District aka Clean Green Rush educates and promotes living sustainably by conserving all natural and renewable resources. Project Description Rush County Solid Waste Management District now owns the property commonly known as White Felt, located at 810 West 6th Street, Rushville, Indiana, 46173. The large brick, two-story building on the property has been declared unsafe and must be removed. To that end, the Board of Directors of the Rush County Solid Waste Management District requests proposals outlining the method of removal, disposition of all materials, total cost, and timeline for completion. The proposer will have all rights to the materials salvaged after the proposal has been accepted. The concrete floor of the building may remain where it is solidly in the ground. All gas lines to the building from Vectren gas utility and from a gas well on the property have been shut off but must remain in place and shall remain the property of the Rush County Solid Waste Management District. There appears to be no electrical service in the building as the wiring has been stripped out. Water lines to the building and sewage access will need to be capped for future access. Bids due 06/04
