Springfield: DEMOLITION: Horace Mann Service Corporation hereafter referred to as the #147;Company #148; is seeking bids for the 3 three Bid Packages. Bid Package #1 demolition of three story (60,000s.f.) precast concrete building, Bid Package #2 miscellaneous site improvements including concrete curb and sidewalks, aluminum fencing and gates, parking lot lighting and eclectic dissolution and landscaping, Bid Package #3 asphalt parking lot overlay and striping. The project location is 100 North Ninth Street, Springfield Illinois 62701, hereafter collectively referred to as the “Project.” The Project will consist of the following Bid Packages. Bid Package #1 includes building demolition of a three (3) story pre-cast concrete building approximately 170’x110’ (19,000sq ft per floor). The building construction is pre-cast exterior wall panels, slab-on-grade, pre-cast columns, beams and roof pre-cast system. There are three (3) masonry elevator shafts (masonry construction) and two (2) stair towers. The foundation is believed to be speared footings. The scope also includes demolition of adjacent concrete sidewalks, parking apron and entrance steps and ramp. Required demolition permit(s), utility disconnects, IEPA demolition permit, lane closure and traffic barriers and all railroad requirements including railroad protective liability, right of entry and flagman as required. Demolition barriers including 6’ high fence along East property line (fence to remain in place during all work associated with Bid Packages #1 and #2).
