This project consists of the demolition of the eleven (11) primary structures that remain of the abandoned Hales & Hunter Red Comb Feeds Granary located near Stewart Avenue and 140th Court in Riverdale Illinois. Included in the scope of the project is the remediation and disposal of asbestos containing material as identified in furnished reports or as encountered in the site and certified by the by the village consultants, demolition of the structures and disposal of all debris to existing surface elevation, removal of existing ground level floor slabs, pumping and removal of water encountered in basement and sub- basements on the site, filling of the subgrade structure with appropriate fill. , coordination with Indiana Harbor Belt Rail Road regarding any proposed right of entry and rail road protective liability insurance, the installation of security fencing, pre-baiting of the site to eliminate pests, dust control watering and all installation of erosion control on any exposed bare soils area resulting from the demolition process.
