[font=Verdana]This procurement is for the solicitation of a Hospital Addition/Alteration located at Langley Air Force Base, VA. Project consists of the construction of 145,000 square foot multi-story addition and an option for the renovation of 25,000 square fee t of the existing facility. New building will be a three story steel frame structure on piles. Exterior will be constructed of brick veneer with cast stone details over metal studs. Roof will be in general built-up, but will also include a standing seam metal roof. Existing building will be refaced with a brick veneer and new window frames. Heating and cooling sources will be hot and chilled water coming from the existing central plant. Central plant renovation includes the replacement of the 167-ton chiller, the steam boilers, and the associated equipment. Building control system will be DDC controls. A medical gas system will serve the addition. Electrical system will consist of a 4000 amp, 480y/277v, 3-phase, 4-wire double-ended switchboard.
