National Park Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on an unrestricted basis for the Horn Island Housing Unit # 31 Demolition and Debris Disposal project at Gulf Islands National Seashore in Jackson County, Mississppi.
The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 238910. The Small Business size standard is $13.0 million. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Miller Act (40 U.S.C. 270a-270f) does not apply (see 37.302). However a bid guarentee, performance and payment bonds shall be required (see 28.103). The project is covered under the Service Contract Act (41 U.S.C. 351-358) (see 37.301), and Department of Labor (DOL) SCA wage determinations shall apply. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Supply all labor, equipment, materials and transportation necessary to demolish a hurricane ravaged housing unit and dispose all debris off-shore in an approved dumpsite. Use of a barge, track hoe with grappler bucket, dump trucks with four wheel drive, and related demolition equipment is suggested. The housing unit and debris has no salvage value to the Government. Area shall be returned to the condition of the surrounding natural area. Access to and from the worksite may be limited by weather and tidal conditions.
