[font=Verdana]Sources Sought No. W912HY-05-S-0003 Project Title: [/font][font=Verdana]Galveston[/font][font=Verdana]Harbor[/font][font=Verdana] and Channel, [/font][font=Verdana]Texas[/font][font=Verdana], in [/font][font=Verdana]Galveston County[/font][font=Verdana], [/font][font=Verdana]Texas[/font][font=Verdana]. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District has a requirement for the above subject. This is not a Solicitation Announcement and is not a Request for Proposal and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified Certified 8(a), Small Disadvantage Business, Hubzone Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 237990. To make appropriate acquisitions for the above project, the Government, will use responses to this sources sought synopsis and possible future projects as determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The order of magnitude for this effort is estimated between $100,000 to $250,000. The work consists of furnishing plant; equipment; labor, and transportation, including necessary fuel, power, and water; and performing the work in strict accordance for total demolition, removal, and disposal of Range Towers Nos. 3 and 4. The Contractor is also responsible for material placed in the water during demolition. Removal of debris includes minor excavation of soil beneath the water surface within the delineate work area and subsequent trawling of the area to ensure that the bottom has been cleared of debris. These range towers have been damaged and are mostly under water. The sea floor in the work area is at approximately Elevation -25 feet MLT. Diving is required for this project. Completion time 60 calendar days. State if your company is an 8(a), Small Disadvantage Business, Hubzone Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. 3. State whether your firm can provide a Bid Bond (20% of total bid amount), Performance and Payment Bond (100% of the contract amount). 4. Please indicate whether your firm will submit a bid for this project, if this project is set-aside for 8(a), Small Disadvantage Business, Hubzone Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. 5. Qualifications: Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall indicate specialized experience and technical competence in: (a) Diving, (b) Removal and Disposal. (c) Mobilization and Demobilization. Provide documentation for your firm on past similar efforts as a prime contractor. 6. Submission Requirements: Firms submitting responses shall present their information in a matrix format showing contracts they have performed. The matrix shall show the most recent five projects that prove you can meet each qualification criteria listed above, with contract number, project location, description of work requirements, contact and phone number for each effort, etc. Firms should also indicate all applicable personnel and sub-contractors proposed to work on the contract. Proof of the Small Business Administration (SBA) registration 8(a) and Hubzone shall be provided with this response. Firms responding to this sources sought announcement, who fail to provide ALL of the required information requested, will not be used to help the Government make the acquisition decision, which is the intent of this sources sought announcement.
