ST PETERSBURG:(RFQ) Demolition and Removal of Structures. Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials and equipment for the demolition and removal of structures(Demolition). Services shall include, but are not limited to, Contractor obtaining required permits and utility disconnects. All demolitions shall be performed using water or other City approved means.The scope of work for each individual Demolition project shall be determined by the City on an as needed basis. a. The City deals with condemned structures and elected demolition projects. Projects are primarily single family,duplexes and triplexes but also include apartment buildings. Occasional projects are commercial structures including retail and vehicle repair facilities. Swimming pools above and below ground are either removed or filled. Owners of condemned structures have an initial period to have Demolition performed at its own expense. b. The City anticipates making awards, to multiple responsive and responsible Contractors based upon the bids received in response to this Request for Qualification (RFQ). The purpose of multiple awards is to retain a pool of qualified Contractors who are readily available to provide demolition and removal of structures. Due to the diverse scopes of work, various geographical locations and potential emergency situations, this pool of Contractors shall ensure availability of services to meet the City's requirements. Last year, the City spent approximately $570,000.
