Old SR 81 over Sandy Creek Bridge Demolition. The Florida Department of Transportation has issued this Request for Proposal to solicit competitive bids and proposals from Proposers for demolition and removal of the remaining bridge along the old SR 81 alignment. The location of the old bridge is between SR 81 and Pirates Cove Road in Ponce De Leon, Florida. Demolition shall include the removal of the existing bridge including adjacent concrete abutment walls. In addition to bridge removal, the Design-Build Firm will be responsible for removing all existing asphalt and unnatural material (i.e. concrete, mounds of asphalt, rebar, etc.) located between SR 81 and Pirates Cove Road. This removal includes all unnatural material along the old roadway alignment, along banks of the creek and in the creek itself within the FDOT right-of-way. All debris will become the property of the Design-Build Firm to properly dispose of. At completion of demolition and removal, the Design-Build Firm will be responsible for regrading the area at 1:3 or flatter and installing sod on all disturbed areas Bids due 05/02
