Plant City: Demolition of MLK Center Structures. The Contractor shall demolish all structures (buildings, concrete slabs, sidewalks, pavement), as well as shrubbery and palm trees, as indicated on the attached demolition site plan. All debris shall be removed from the site and disposed of in accordance with all laws and regulationsgoverning same. Site shall be taken back to dirt grade in such a fashion to leave a level dirt site. The contractor shall furnish any required fill dirt and regrading of the site. There is a line item on the bid form to sod the entire disturbed area with Bahia sod. Sod shall be watered for at least 2 weeks after it has been installed. If the City decides not to sod the area, then this will be deducted from the scope of work. The Contractor must be a licensed demolition contractor and provide the City with certifications for asbestos abatement that will precede or occur during demolition. An asbestos survey report is attached to this bid document that indicates there are asbestos containing materials in the building.
