Dolphin Berthing Removal. Scope: demolition and removal of the four (4) berthing dolphins, including the dolphin concrete structures and pilings that support the dolphins (the Work). Bidder shall furnish all equipment, supervision, labor, divers, transportation, cranes, barges, tools and expendables to remove the four (4) berthing dolphins, including the piles supporting the dolphins. The four (4) dolphins are in the water, approximately one hundred (100) feet from shore. Each dolphin has settled on one (1) side and is listing in the water approximately at a forty-five degree (45) angle. The Bidder will remove the concrete slabs, approximately 300 tons in weight each, and remove the pilings from the river bottom. All razed or demolished materials are to be transported and disposed of at a licensed and permitted facility. Where structures, pilings, cannot be completely extracted, they will be removed vertically to a minimum of two (2) feet below river bottom grade to alleviate all navigation obstructions.
