Boca Raton: DEMOLITION OF STEEL ELEVATED FINISHED WATER STORAGE TANKS. The City of Boca Raton, Florida is accepting sealed bids for the above. The City of Boca Raton owns and maintains two (2) steel elevated finished water storage tanks located outside the Utility Services Complex, Glades Road Water Treatment Plant (WTP). Both tanks were constructed by the CB&I, Inc. In 2010 the City had the two tanks inspected by Tank Engineering and Management Consultants, Inc. (TEAM) for the purpose of identifying required maintenance and repair needs for each tank. The City has elected to demolish the two off-site elevated tanks rather than to continue to operate and maintain them. The work (project) includes the demolition, removal, and disposal of the City’s two off-site steel elevated finished water storage tanks. The North Tank is located at 101 NE 42nd St, Boca Raton, FL 33431 and the South Tank is located at 138 SW 13th Terrace, Boca Raton, FL 33432. The estimated budget for this bid is $300,000.00
