The project consists of the demolition of structures on three (3) properties located in Wyoming and McDowell Counties in southern West Virginia, and an option for an additional property. The structures are to be removed in their entirety and the disturbed areas are to be regarded and seeded to provide positive drainage and vegetative cover. Major items of work for the Bid Schedule include: Silt Fence, 50 LF; Seeding and Mulching, 0.5 Acre; Mobilization and Demobilization, 1 LS; Site Assessments for Hazardous Material, 4 Each; Testing for Hazardous Material, 32 Each; Demolition Plan, 4 Each; Hazardous Material Removal, 250 Cubic Yards; General Demolition Removal, 171 Ton; Rubble Demolition and Site Grading, 4 Each; and Payment and Performance Bonds, 1 LS. THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE, NAICS CODE 238910. SMALL BUSINESS SIZE IS $33.5 MILLION. A size standard is the largest that a concern can be and still qualify as a small business for Federal Government programs. For the most part, size standards are the average annual receipts or the average employment of a firm. How to calculate average annual receipts and average employment of a firm can be found in 13 CFR 121.104 and 13 CFR 121.106, respectively. The estimated price range for this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The required performance time is 52 calendar days. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on, or about July 12, 2010. A Site Showing will be held at 10:00 a.m. (local time) on Thursday, July 20, 2010, at the United States Post Office located in Wyoming County on State Route 10 in Bud, West Virginia. Interested offerors may register at http://www.fbo.gov to receive notification when the solicitation and any amendments are issued and available for downloading. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
