Demolition Services of Military Family Housing (MFH) Units and various industrial facilities at Hunley Park, the Naval Weapons Station, and Charleston AFB, Charleston South Carolina: This service covers approximately 250 housing units and various other buildings between Charleston AFB and the Naval Weapons station, Charleston, South Carolina. The performance period for this service is a base year plus four 12-month option periods. Charleston AFB anticipates awarding this as a firm-fixed price indefinite quantity requirements contract. This service required will consisted of demolition of steel, wood, and masonry structures, sidewalks, patios, utilities, service or short building access drives including curb and gutter leading to the building from the street and vehicular parking areas will be completely removed. Safely remove, transport, and dispose of construction debris in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Some housing units and base facilities may contain asbestos containing material and/or lead based paint. Contractor must comply with all safety requirements and regulations when removing asbestos and/or hazardous materials. All labor, vehicles, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other furnished property and services except as specified in the contract as Government Furnished Property will be provided by the contractor. The solicitation will be issued as a competitive 8(a) set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238910 with a small business size standard of $14,000,000.00. This competition will be limited to 8(a) firms certified for participation in the 8(a) Program who are serviced by the South Carolina District Office. 8(a) firms that are not serviced by the South Carolina District Office, but who have a verifiable "bona fide" office and employees located within the geographic area served by the South Carolina District Office are also eligible to submit offers. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 5 August 2009 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
