Demolition of U.S. Coast Guard Ambrose Light Tower

Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to demolish and remove U.S. Coast Guard Ambrose Light Tower located at the entrance to New York Harbor approximately 8.35 nautical miles east of Sandy Hook, NJ. The contractor shall be required to provide his own marine transportation to gain access to the worksite. In November 2007 the tower suffered damage as a result of a ship allision. This Invitation for Bids is open to both large and small business participation. This project is estimated between $500,000 and $1 Million. The applicable NAICS code is 237990. A 20% Bid Bond is required and 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required after award. The tentative bid opening date is 25 March 2008. Completion is required within 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bid packages will be available on or about 19 February 2008 at a non-refundable charge of $62.
