Furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, licenses and supervision for Project # 529-09-100, Demo Buildings #19, # 20 and #21, at the VA Medical Center, Butler, PA 16001 in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Work includes but is not limited to: building barriers and barricades, asbestos abatement, general construction, cutting, capping, and rerouting all utilities as specified, mechanical and electrical work, demolition of buildings, foundations, and footings, backfilling and compacting all excavations, and spreading topsoil and grass seed. Grass seed as specified by the Project Manager. Demolition is to include: buildings #19, ramp and loading dock, 20, 21, and associated foundations, footings, walkways, ramps and steps. Saw cut and remove asphalt per drawing. Remove all abandoned utility lines/plumbing/piping/etc. encountered during excavation to within (5) five feet of corridor. Tile pipe left in place to be capped to prevent ground water infiltration in the remaining system within (5) feet of corridor. The contractor is responsible to remove any and all items containing asbestos. Completion Time: 150 calendar days. Price range is $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. NAICS Code is 238910. Bidding material/drawings will be available on/about November 17, 2008. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled on December 2, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the VA Medical Center, Butler, Building 21 (Rear) followed by a site visit. The Bid Opening date is on/about December 17, 2008. Bidders are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the website frequently to ensure you have the most up to date information, including amendments. Electronic or phone requests will not be accepted, nor will electronic bids. No e-mail questions will be responded to. All correspondence regarding the solicitation contents or general questions must be addressed in writing on company letterhead, containing a point of contact, the SOL number and phone and fax numbers and must be addressed to the contracting officer listed. Correspondence may be faxed to 724-477-5026. All bidders must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and to do business with the Government and in U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
