The General Contractor for this project shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor to construct a 9,200 SF addition to the existing Culinary Arts Building at the Earl C. Clements Job Corps Center located in Morganfield, Kentucky. Construction will consist of cast-in-place concrete foundations and slab-on-grade. The structure is reinforced concrete block bearing walls with wood roof trusses. Exterior finishes includes brick veneer and an asphalt shingle roof. The work shall be conducted in two stages, in the following order, with each stage substantially complete before beginning the next stage: Stage I - The construction of the Culinary Arts Building addition without the parking lot. Stage II - Demolition of Building 1528 and construction of the parking lot. The remaining work shall be substantially complete and ready for occupancy at time of Substantial Completion. Begin performance within 14 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed and complete it within 275 calendar days. Substantial completion for Phase I shall be within 215 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date, and Substantial completion for Phase II shall be within 60 calendar days from the substantial completion of Phase I. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on March 20, 2007, ONLY from the firm of Louis & Henry Group, 101 South Eighth Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40202.
