Wallingford: Clearing at Wallace Pond Dam. The purpose of this bid is to secure a contractor to provide the Town with tree, vegetation, and debris clearing at the Wallace Pond Dam located on Quinnipiac Street east of River Road. Currently, there are trees and vegetation growing within 25-feet of the dam, which pose a threat to the integrity of the dam. It is the Town’s intent to engage a qualified and competent contractor possessing the necessary and appropriate manpower, equipment and experience to perform this work. The trees and vegetation are to be removed within the clearing limits shown on the plans and as flagged onsite. Stumps and primary root systems are to be removed or treated with approved herbicide, all debris removed from the site, and the area restored to the satisfaction of the Town. This work also includes removal of debris (downed trees & branches) from the channel.
