CT Energy & Environmental Protection: Superstructure Replacement of a Wooden Covered Bridge located in Devil’s Hopyard State Park. Specific work includes the demolition of the existing superstructure, restoration of existing W8 steel beams and base plates and replacement of the superstructure. Work also includes clearing in designated areas, protecting existing planting to remain, stripping and stockpiling of topsoil, site landscaping, site grading and installation of all erosion and sediment control measures. It is the goal of DEEP Engineering and Support Services to replace the existing bridge superstructure with a new wooden covered bridge superstructure so as to preserve the current aesthetic view of the bridge.
