Denver Water: (RFQ) Waterton Canyon High Line Canal Diversion Dam Replacement Project. Project Location The replacement dam will be built at the same location as the existing dam in the South Platte River, about 2 miles west of the Kassler Center up Waterton Canyon. Project Overview The Project consists of river diversion, dewatering, demolition of what is left of the existing timber structure, foundation work, dam design (RCC only), construction of a replacement dam, and river bed restoration. This Request for Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is to solicit qualification information from Designers and CONTRACTORs interested in the RCC option (Designers and CONTRACTORs are to submit their qualifications separately, specific teams do not yet need to be identified) and CONTRACTOR’s who are interested in the Timber option. The OWNER will use a two-step process for the selection of a CONTRACTOR (timber option) or Design-Build Team (RCC option) for the Project. The SOQ represents the first step in the selection process and the second step will include the submission and evaluation of proposals from each short-listed CONTRACTOR. The OWNER will obtain an US Army Corps of Engineers 404 Nationwide Permit for this Project. The CONTRACTOR will be expected to obtain all additional permits. The Project is expected to be in the $1.5 to $2 million range.
