[FONT=Verdana][SIZE=2]Demolition of a one story building (approximately 20,400 sf) with a high slope roof and clerestory windows. This window is constructed of concrete. Steel and concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction. The building is abandoned and in disrepair. Demolition includes removal of the entire building, and all components associated with the building. The work also includes removal of all debris from the site, disposal of all debris in accordance with all applicable codes and laws, and preparing and grading the entire site for positive drainage. The Contractor shall prepare a hazardous materials inspection and abatement plan. After an abatement plan is approved, removal of all hazardous materials shall be completed before demolition of the buildings can proceed. Abatement and removal of all hazardous materials including as necessary to comply with local state and federal regulation, but not limited to, asbestos, PBC containing equipment, lead-based paint, mercury and any other hazardous materials and equipment within the confines of the buildings shall be included in the Contract. The Contractor shall provide services for any additional testing that may be required after removal of all hazardous materials. The Scope of Work includes removal and proper disposal of all demolished debris including building materials, underground and aboveground utility lines and unused equipment within the confines of the buildings. The demolition of foundations is included in this scope. Prospective bidder must visit the site and become familiar with all pertinent conditions that are included in the Scope of Work. A pre-bid walk-through will be conducted at the project site with all interested contractors.
