Cafeteria Renovation, B.H. Whipple Federal Building, Ft. Snelling, MN. General Services Administration (GSA) has a need to renovate the cafeteria at the indicated location. The project will include demolishing and replacing the existing food service preparation and service area. The area to be under renovation is approximately 7,200 square feet and the work will involve modifications to the HVAC system to bring it to compliance with current code, as well as similar modification to the electrical and plumbing system. A new serving area will be constructed. The cafeteria and serving area will remain in service during construction, so consideration to phasing is required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $12 million. The estimated cost range of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The completion time is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) date. This procurement is open to all business concerns. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about June 6, 2006. Specification and detailed requirements will be furnished with the solicitation and will be available via Federal Technical Data System (FedTeds) to all interested parties. Those interested may gain access to FedTeds by first registering with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov (you must have a valid Duns number issued by Dun & Bradstreet to register). Contractors will obtain a CCR PIN and CAGE Code after registering successfully. After registration in CCR, please visit the FedTeds website at http://www.fedteds.gov, click on the Register with FedTeds hyperlink, click on the Vendor Registration Form hyperlink towards the bottom of the page. There, contractors are required to enter the CCR PIN and CAGE code or Duns number to receive a username and password for FedTeds. Mail, facsimile, telephonic or electronic mail requests will not be honored. For questions, contact Geraldine Jordan, Contracting Officer, at (312) 353-7619.
