LOS PENASQUITOS BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS. The work consists in general of performing in-line single-track bridge replacements for the bridges at MP 246.1, MP 246.9, MP 247.1, and MP 247.7 on a portion of the LOSSAN commuter rail corridor in the City of San Diego. Proposed work includes track construction; construction of four new single-track bridges and demolition and removal of the existing bridges; scour protection installation; coordination of existing utilities and railroad signaling temporary relocation; construction of drainage structures; site work and track bed preparation (including fencing, signage installation, site clearing, planting, site restoration, and ballast); in addition to procuring all materials and performing all other work necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Plans and Special Provisions. The Engineer’s Estimate is $15,920,537. The Prime contractor must perform with their own organization at least 35 percent of the work. The Prime must have a valid A license. The project is funded in whole or in part with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funding. The UDBE goal for this project is 6.42 percent. Bids due 08/05
