Sacramento State Printing Plant Demolition. Provide professional architectural and engineering design services as required for the complete demolition of the existing State Printing Plant buildings (approximately 479,737 GSF) and other structures on the property and related foundations, including asbestos and lead containing materials; remove asphalt paving and trees, exterior lighting poles and underground utility lines within property boundaries; fence around perimeter of site; and removal of contaminated soil. This would prepare the site for design and development of a new office complex. The firm shall provide professional architectural and engineering services. The responsible party shall be an architect or engineer licensed to practice in the State of California (CA) and all work shall be performed under and approved by a licensed design professional. The services may include reports, assessments, studies, preliminary plans, working drawings, cost estimates, bidding support, and construction support. The firm shall demonstrate specialized knowledge, expertise and experience performing the design of demolition projects, asbestos and lead abatement projects, hazardous soil removal projects and make ready demolition projects for future developments. The firm, selected for this work, including all sub-consultants is precluded from participating in any of the construction or other competitively bid contract work on this demolition project. The firm, selected for this work, including all sub-consultants is not precluded from future design and/or construction services that may be constructed on the project site.The estimated cost of construction for the project is $12,000,000.
