Reedley: DEMOLITION OF THE FORMER ROYAL VALLEY COLD STORAGE AND PACKINGHOUSE BUILDING. The contractors’ scope of services includes, but is not limited to thefollowing. The abatement of all hazardous materials contained in the building prior to demolitionin accordance with applicable State and Federal Law and Regulations. Demolition and removalof the entire structure including haul off (using a licensed hauler) and proper disposal of allmaterials. Removal of the structure includes: all concrete columns to a minimum of 6 inches belowexisting slab grade, exposed edges of interior column footings to be sawcut clean with rebar dowelsinstalled prior to the placement of concrete to match existing grade. Truck scale, cold storagerooms containing ice storage pits, truck-loading docks, offices, and restroom facilities. Allprotruding bolts and or brackets shall be cut and ground flush with the slab. All work shall be inaccordance with applicable laws and regulation, including without limitation, California Code ofRegulations, Title 8, Article 31 (Demolition).During demolition, the contractor shall protect the existing concrete slab on-grade and bring inapproved fill material to bring all excavated areas, including but not limited to, ice pits, previouslyelevated areas, lift station and truck scale, level to the existing slab on grade. The contractor shallprotect in place all elevated power poles and lines that are adjacent to the structure.
