ORANGE COUNTY WATER DISTRICT: LA PALMA RECHARGE BASIN; all work and furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for the La Palma Recharge Basin which consist of the following project components: 1. Over-excavation and Grading Activities: Excavate approximately 255,000 cubic yards of the existing earthen materials as necessary to establish an engineered basin per the final grading plan; Provide a graded basin with a perimeter access road and access ramps as shown on the plans. The top two to seven feet of fill material as determined by the Engineer shall be 1) hauled to Mills Pond and graded according to plan and 2) properly disposed of off-site by the Contractor. The remaining excavated permeable sand shall be hauled to Anaheim Lake, Imperial Storage Site, and the Off-River locations as described in Section 100 Q of the Special Provisions. 2. Pipelines, Pump House, and Inlet/Outlet Structure: Construct pipelines from the GWRS supply line and dewater discharge piping per plans including across the Carbon Creek Diversion Channel. Construct pump station, valves, vaults, motor operated valves, flow meters, combined inlet and outlet structure, and all related appurtenances and associated electrical components. Modify existing on-site storm drainage inlet and pipe. Perform a mortar repair within the existing GWRS pipeline. Construct water service lines. The GWRS pipeline dewatering, tie-in connection, and the mortar repair shall be completed within a single 72-hour shutdown of the GWRS pipeline as described in Section 100 J of the Special Provisions. 3. SCADA, Delta V, Fiber Optics , and Electrical: Provide various facility devices in support of District operations and maintenance which include motor operated valves for water deliveries; motor operated valves for gravity and pump station dewatering; flow meters for accurate quantification of water deliveries; water level sensor(s) for real time basin water levels; and others. Ensure new devices interface correctly with existing District SCADA, Delta V, and Fiber Optic systems. Install duct bank, conduit, and other electrical as shown on project plans and city of Anaheim plans, see Exhibit K. 4. Landscape & Fence: Construct and install irrigation, landscaping, fence, gates, and all other related items on the site perimeter as shown on the plans. 5. Monitoring Well: Drill, construct and develop a single monitoring well at the location indicated on the plans and Exhibit H. Bids due 08/27
