OAKLAND: DEMOLITION OF BUILDING NO. 833 AT THE FORMER OAKLAND ARMY BASE OUTER HARBOR. The work of this ninety (90) calendar day project consists generally of furnishing all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and supervision required to demolish Building No. 833 located at the former Oakland Army Base which has a floor area of approximately 7,600 square feet. The work includes disconnect-ing, cutting and capping existing utilities; performing abatement of asbestos-containing materials, loose and peeling lead-based paints, PCB-containing lighting ballasts, mercury-containing fluorescent lighting fixtures and other miscellaneous hazardous materials; demolishing, removing and legally disposing of the above concrete slab portion of Building No. 833, and various other improvements; removing and legally disposing of miscellaneous site features such as vegetation, bollards, utility meters, risers, and fences; and performing all associated work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents.
