Los Altos - Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District: Purisima Upland Demolition and Site Cleanup Project consists of demolition and disposal of former oil production equipment and oil processing areas. Remediation will comprise of removal and disposal of above ground storage tanks formerly used to store crude oil or water, oil production piping, oil processing facilities, and related structural components; an abandoned vehicle; and miscellaneous debris. The Contractor will remove limited amounts of petroleum-impacted soil from around storage tanks and stabilize disturbed soil areas within work areas. The Contractor will perform hazardous material abatement, demolish, and remove an 800 square foot wood framed cabin. Project Location The Purisima Upland property is located on Verde Road, approximately 2 miles south of Half Moon Bay, in unincorporated San Mateo County. The Purisima Upland property is adjacent to the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (District) Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve. The terrain consists of rolling hills, a mix of native and non-native trees, coastal brush, and grasslands.
