El Dorado Irrigation District: (RFQ) Flumes 4, 45 Section 3, 45A, 46A, 47A, 47B, 52A, and Spill 3 Crib Wall. The anticipated work of the Projects generally consists of: Flume 4 • This project consists of replacing a 400-foot section of elevated flume • Flume replacement includes flume demolition and disposal, excavation, grading, subsurface drainage, and constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Installation of rock anchors, rock dowels, and/or soil nails • Erosion control implementation and maintenance • Removal of loose material and hazard tree removal • Constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Contractor must have experience in the construction of MSE walls, air placed concrete, and working in remote and steep mountainous locations in all weather conditions • Work may need to be done by helicopter • This project is not currently scheduled for construction • Current estimate for this project is $10.0 million Flume 45 Section 3 • This project consists of replacing a 942-foot section of elevated flume • Flume replacement includes flume demolition and disposal, excavation, grading, subsurface drainage, and constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Installation of rock anchors, rock dowels, and/or soil nails • Erosion control implementation and maintenance • Removal of loose material and hazard tree removal • Constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Contractor must have experience in the construction of MSE walls, air placed concrete, and working in remote and steep mountainous locations in all weather conditions • This project is not currently scheduled for construction • Current estimate for this project is $11.0 million Flume 45A • The project consists of replacing a 100-foot fiberglass lined elevated wood flume with cast-in-place, pre-cast box culverts, or trapezoidal flume sections Constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) bench • Flume replacement includes flume demolition and disposal, excavation, grading, subsurface drainage, and constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Installation of rock anchors, rock dowels, and/or soil nails • Erosion control implementation and maintenance • Removal of loose material and hazard tree removal • This project is not currently scheduled for construction • Current estimate for this project is $1.5 million Flume 46A • The project consists of replacing a 128-foot elevated wood flume with cast-inplace, pre-cast box culverts, or trapezoidal flume sections constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) bench • Flume replacement includes flume demolition and disposal, excavation, grading, subsurface drainage, and constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Installation of rock anchors, rock dowels, and/or soil nails • Erosion control implementation and maintenance • Removal of loose material and hazard tree removal • This project is not currently scheduled for construction • Current estimate for this project is $2.0 million Flume 47A • The project consists of replacing a 201-foot elevated wood flume with cast-inplace, pre-cast box culverts, or trapezoidal flume sections constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) bench • Flume replacement includes flume demolition and disposal, excavation, grading, subsurface drainage, and constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Installation of rock anchors, rock dowels, and/or soil nails • Erosion control implementation and maintenance • Removal of loose material and hazard tree removal • This project is scheduled to bid late February/early March of 2024 with construction in the summer of 2024 • Current estimate for this project is $2.4 million Flume 47B • The project consists of replacing a 128-foot elevated wood flume with cast-inplace, pre-cast box culverts, or trapezoidal flume sections constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) bench • Flume replacement includes flume demolition and disposal, excavation, grading, subsurface drainage, and constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Installation of rock anchors, rock dowels, and/or soil nails • Erosion control implementation and maintenance • Removal of loose material and hazard tree removal This project is not currently scheduled for construction • Current estimate for this project is $2.0 million Flume 52A • The project consists of replacing a 377-foot elevated wood flume with cast-inplace, pre-cast box culverts, or trapezoidal flume sections constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) bench • Flume replacement includes flume demolition and disposal, excavation, grading, subsurface drainage, and constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls • Installation of rock anchors, rock dowels, and/or soil nails • Erosion control implementation and maintenance • Removal of loose material and hazard tree removal • This project is not currently scheduled for construction • Current estimate for this project is $2.0 million Spill 3 Crib Wall • Removal of wood, concrete, and metal structures associated with spillway, canal, and crib wall • The material is anticipated to be removed by helicopter. Previous helicopter experience in remote mountainous locations is required. • Canal replacement includes demolition and disposal, excavation, grading, subsurface drainage, and constructing mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls up to 25 feet in height • Stabilization of large area of destabilized soil • Removal of loose material, rock scaling, and hazard tree removal • Installation of rock anchors, rock dowels, and/or soil nails • Erosion control implementation and maintenance • This project is not currently scheduled for construction • Current estimate for this project is $3.5 million
