Clearlake: Demolition of 7 Residential Properties. The City intends to award a contract for work which includes the demolition, abatement, and disposal of all demolition/hazardous materials. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and incidentals and performing all work required to complete the contract. For the purpose of obtaining Inspection & Abatement Warrants, a minimum of 5 working days’ notice, prior to abatement of each property, the contractor is required to notify the project manager of the start date for said abatement. The Contractor will provide all supervision, labor, equipment, supplies and materials for: • At time of mandatory pre-bid meeting, the City will provide asbestos and lead reports, if applicable. In such cases of existence, contractor is responsible for the removal, transportation and disposal of all hazardous waste materials. • The removal, transport, and disposal of all structures. • Disposal of all structures includes, but is not limited to, foundation, slab, walkways, walls, subflooring and roofing. • Removal and disposal of, but not limited to, all trash, junk, debris, appliances, furniture, tires from property. • Entire earth surface of parcel shall be graded smooth and free of dry / dead vegetation. Land must be left in a condition that prevents erosion and run off of water and soil onto adjacent properties, the public right of way and roadway. • All underground utilities, re: water and sewer or septic main, shall be staked and marked at time of completion. Prior to beginning demolition, the Contractor shall install construction site Best Management Practices (BMPs) that effectively protect all drainage facilities, watercourses, and water bodies from discharges of pollutants, including sediment. All BMPs shall be designed, manufactured, and installed in accordance with the California Stormwater Quality Association’s Stormwater Best Management Practice Handbook – Construction. All waste bins and material or debris stockpiles that are not removed from the site at the end of each working day shall be covered and provided with secondary containment.
