Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Prime Contractor has a requirement for the services of an Asbestos Abatement and Disposal Subcontractor, on an as needed basis, during the period March 2009 through February 2012, with PPPL having the Option to extend the performance period for up to two additional consecutive twelve month periods. Documented past experience in the performance of asbestos abatement work is mandatory. Typical asbestos abatement projects include removal of vinyl asbestos tile, transite panel and piping and thermal system insulation. Assigned tasks may include removal, packaging, transportation and disposal. All work performed must be in strict compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations. Individual workers involved in removal process must be licensed in accordance with New Jersey Department of Labor and New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services regulations.
