The general description of work includes: Scope: The project is comprised of the selective Demolition of the Basement Level of the Wallace Tumor Institute including existing offices, laboratories, laboratory support spaces and mass concrete vaults within the existing building shell. The project includes the removal of interior concrete vault walls and ceilings, masonry walls, gypsum board assemblies, the selective removal of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems and the removal of laboratory casework as set forth in the Project construction documents. The project also includes the protection of the above components indicated to remain and precautions for infection control in an occupied building.
