University of Alaska, Fairbanks: Irving 1 Canopy Demolition Project No.: D18031 I1DC. Sealed bids, in single copy, for the Irving 1 Canopy Demolition project will be received by the University of Alaska, until Thursday, 2:00 p.m., July 12, 2018, at the office of Division of Design and Construction, University of Alaska, 1850 Tanana Loop, Lola Tilly Building, UAF Campus, Fairbanks, Alaska, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Work consists of demolition of existing concrete hardscaping, stairs, connector bridge, and large canopy outside the O'Neill and Irving 1 buildings. Demolition will also include removal of the existing entryway into the Irving 1 building. New construction consists of a new entrance into Irving 1, new concrete stairs and retaining walls, and new sidewalks. Two Additive Alternates will construct a steel frame canopy over the exterior concrete and build a set of metal stairs from the Irving 1 landing to the lower O'Neill landing.
