Stratton VA Medical Center (hereafter "The VA" or "VA"), located at 113 Holland Ave., Albany NY 12208, intends to release a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) numbered VA-528-09-RP-0015, for a project entitled "Abatement/Demolition of Building 6 and 7" sometime during the week of March 16-20, 2009. This project will entail the controlled abatement of two outbuildings previously used as office space via demolition in place. The VA intends to release this RFP with competition restricted completely to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The applicable NAICS code will be 236220. The estimated construction value of this project falls within the range of $500,000 and $1,000,000. Bid, performance and payment bonding will be required to respond to this RFP once released. The VA anticipates the use of a "lowest price technically acceptable" negotiated evaluation once offers are received. At this time, an exact date of release is not known but release will not occur before March 16, 2009. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full RFP will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov) between March 16th and 20th, 2009.
