I think he's going to put it into his boat. He's trying to gey it ready for the summer so the grandkids can cruise with him.

I hear David Griffin, Jr. hit it for 10 g's. All in all a good trip for the Griffin contingent.:)

Well they should pay for the trip. That's a nice chunk of change to win on slots.

I haven't talk to anybody they went yet.

Usually it's a company perk. I remember years past, and probably tears present, when Brandenberg and Beirlien would send over 50 people each. I've found it to be more of a bonding thing with friends and industry acquaintances.

I guess in a way, is what I was saying. If you don't know that many people or some of the "big boys" it can become "boring".

I hope you are not bored at our booth. Look for Applied Science International.
We will be promoting our engineering analysis and demolition simulations there.

I hope you all can stop by and say hi

Opinions will vary, obviously.

But to me, at least, it can be a fun show if you know at least some of your fellow demolition contractors and some suppliers. If you are going for the first time and you do not know some of your demo guys, you may feel a little out of place.

I haven’t been in years, but some of the seminars and speakers almost really didn’t have much to do with the demolition industry, but they have improved lately.

I will not be attending this year's event after all. I wish I could go, I just have too many things on my plate right now to leave.

I heard over the weekend that it will be a full house in the hall.

I am still undecided if I will be going. Although if I do I will make sure to stop by and say hi.

It looks like this is going to be a big one. All booths are reserved. We [Applied Science International] are going to be there to begin marketing our Visualization and Simulation services for the demo industry. My bosses see lots of potential in giving demo contractors the ability to communicate their plans to stakeholders in a 3D simulation of the actual job based on computer analysis.

I hope you guys drop by our booth, we'll be the one's with computer simulations of collapsing buildings! :D

I have been a member, on and off, for over 20 years. Never been to one of those conventions! I paid to go 3 times, non-refundable. It seems if I want work...pay for the convention and I'll have to cancel for work.
The NDA has grown for the better. Maybe for demo guys, but not for shooters.

First year for the National Demolition Association but we were at the ISEE Conf On Explosives & Blasting Techniques in Orlando back in 2005. It was very successful in generating interest. Now, we are more mature and ready to take on consultations. We are still in the process of determining whether or not to pursue the development of a demolition focused version of our Extreme Loading for Structures software. That is what we are hoping to learn from the next show . Do demolition contractors have the time to learn and run software programs? Do they have the resources (manpower) to do so? Would they prefer consultations instead of commercial off the shelf software? Lots of questions to answer :)

Hi all,

I was wondering how many of you will be attending the National Demolition Association's annual convention that will be held in Las Vegas next April?

My company may have a booth there and I was wondering if I was going to meet any of you there.

Thank you,

Sam Saeb
