We have a website for our company and while it's not extremely interesting or detailed it does lead to business. I think that when a client looks into having your company do a project a web site makes you a little more professional than the competition may.

Ours, like so many, needs updating. Dedicating resources is always a tough sell.
James, I like the advise regarding the traffic monitor. I'm going to try to implement it.

I like going to some of the Demolition Companies websites. I like to see what kind of equipment and attachments some of the other guys use. I don't know how many clients it brings in, we've never really done an analysis on it. I do agree you need one in today's market.Ours is Home Page, it has some cool stuff on it.
John may I suggest installing Google Analytics, its a free program and you can see where all your website visitors come from and what keywords they used to land on your site. It's a great tool.
Also I agree, it may not bring a client in, but if someone has never heard of your company you can send them to your website and it's a virtual business card.
