Hi,
I work for a national UK company as a national Sales Co-ordinator. This basically means that my job revolves around internet research and magazines. My very best advice to start pulling in customer is to firstly go for the smaller contractors and they will at least get your machines out on site. They are much more establised and if you provide a good service they will form as your bread and butter. The only way to get this kind of buisness is to simply search your local directories for telephone numebers and simple spend a few days just calling people and getting your information packs out to them. We also have an E-marketing system linked to our web site that allows people to subscribe to competitions and newsletter.
I hope this helps a little bit.
If you are residential and want to continue until you get established, I would first talk to your local residential builders and information on how to get on their updated bidders list.
I have even heard and seen some smaller demolition contractors advertise on Craig's List to get started, and best of all it's free!
For the type of work we do, Service Magic and the rest of them are just a waste of money in my opinion. There are better ways to get work then sitting waiting for the e-mails to come in. Now if you were a small GC, then I think Service magic would be okay.
Good Luck and let us know if you need anything else.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone uses internet sales leads at all?. Currently i'm signed up with three of them service magic, contractors.com and home contractor directory. So far i'm not getting too far with it any thoughts or ideas?. I'm a brand new company trying to get established. I don't have much for equipment yet the majority of it has to be rented out. I'm mostly residential right now.
