does anyone know if these are found in metric readings also? i really hate to look for these figures from books, when usually doing the estimations on computer.

some estimations i do by "experience", but most i calculate the weight/amount of waste produced and how fast i can produce it and what it will cost to take a way.
be carefull! you can do some really serious damage to your economy if you are not carefull! remember to write the papers well and look for asbestos & stuff like that!

First off, don't waste your time buying estimating software.
Is the slab staying? What is the site's access? Do you have an overall square footage of the project?
It will also probably be a little hard without seeing the project.

My name is Scott and I am not a typical demo contractor. Most of my work is in general excavation. I have received a solicitation for a demo project but I have no idea of how to estimate the amount of material to be disposed of. The building is a hotel style, 50 room, 2 story, cinder block constructed, flat roofed building. doe anyone know a method to estimate this building? I have devised my own method but I am sure that there are many tried and tru methods that all you experts have used for a while. I would purchase estimating software but I have no time as the bid is due on Tuesday. If anone could help me out I would sure appreciate it.
