neyc,

That is an interesting way to do it. Never thought about doing it that way.

We had the same problems for a while. The one thing I found to work best was to offer a reward. The earlier time cards are in and correct, the earlier in the week they are available. We have some guys dropping cards off on Friday after work.

The employees will be paid the following week if they are not received on time, Some employees can and do get upset but we have found the majority understand and it keeps the rest of them punctual.

I am curious wawrecker, if they are late what is the penalty? Do they not get paid or paid late?

A company I used to worked for had a noon on Monday policy, but it always was pushed and sometimes that gals in the office would say okay, payroll starts on Tuesday so if its in by 8:00 am its okay. The workers pushed.

How do you guys deal with time cards and your employees? I'm talking about getting them into their hands each week. Do you give them a big stack of them every once in awhile? Do you hand them a new one at the start of each week? Have them download and print it out from your website?

Then the biggest question is, how do you get them back into your office?
