You may want to check with your insurance agent as many insurance companies do bonding but do not advertise it

The company I represent has provided performance bonds for "turnkey" abatement/demolition contractors for over 25 years. Unfortunately we cannot write bonds for demo only contractors. We are national program managers for Arch Insurance Company (A15) and underwrite all bonds in-house for the best service and pricing.

Doug, you might give these guys a call. They do a lot of demo bonding and insurance.

Try Wells-Fargo Insurance Services. They have a Surety Division. My company obtains all of their bonding through them.

We have always used local companies, I do not know of any nationwide companies. You should talk to your bonding agent and see if they have any subsidiaries.

It is possible that it is getting tougher to obtain some for those amounts, I haven't had to get one for a few years, so I am probably the wrong person to be replying. Hopefully someone else will chime in an point you in the right direction.

Is there a national bonding company thats good to work with or recommended? I have a couple of local companies but am having no luck.
I seem to be able to get the small bonds for sewer/water work , but no luck in the larger bonds I need for municipal jobs $400K - 1.5M range. Are just corporations with AAA credit getting these? Looking for any info anyone wants to share. Thank you, doug :bang:
