Almost at the end of the year....

We, at EPD, have had an absolutely FANTASTIC year! EPD, a new startup, had the ability to INVENT OURSELVES rather than try an RE-INVENT ourselves, like many of our Distributor Competitors struggle to accomplish. We offer our customers multiple replacement parts options: Aftermarket, Genuine Surplus or Good Used. Our mark-ups are a fraction of our competitors, as a result of our business model. In tough economic times, people want options. That is precisely what EPD offers its customers. Keep a close eye out for us in 2009, as we intend to become a site sponser on this great forum site!

Merry Christmas everyone and Best Wishes for a Happy New Year!

I would research the stock on web see how much cash they have on hand. Even if the stock went to shit they might have money in the bank. Then find out if they pay their bills and have good reputation.IF there is not much scrap and a lot trash and labor cost and a chance of slo/no pay let it go.LIke the song says ya gotta know when to hold ,em fold ,em and walk away . I know you know all this already ,just giving you a second opinion

This is the worst i have seen this business in 23 years . In 90-91 things were almost this ugly . I just have never seen things get so quiet so fast.

Stayed busy until mid september since then it has been extremely quiet.Quite a few jobs have canceld due to the drop in metal prices. Some of the local scrap yards took on some projects in my area earlier in the year when the prices were high . When they start soliciting the scrap on our next projects gonna giv em a little lesson in what 'comes around goes around'.

we had a great start then it was like the tap was shut off. Our service work is off 65% from last year at this same time. Our demolition side is off 80%. Next year looks really thin. So many projects are delayed or abandoned all together. There is going to be a lot of iron sitting around next year and a lot of site contractors are going to try their hands at more demo I see it happening already.

I had a pretty good last three quarters, things have slowed down a little bit towards the end of the year, especially in light of scrap prices. I do have one job in the pipeline that needs to be done before the year end and I have work out into the first two quarters of 2009, so things are holding steady.

What was your year like? Good? Bad? Ugly?

I talked to a few demo guys this past week and they are way down compared to last year. Mainly cause by the rising of fuel and companies downsizing instead of growing.
