I agree. Heaven forbid you do a house demo in Magnolia; you will have all the neighbors asking what are you going to do with all the debris, you say taken it to the dump and they freak out.

Operating in the northwest with a large environmentally conscience public one would think we would have some of the best recycling or recovery programs in the country, but I have found that in regards to the demolition contractor, our options have been reduced in the last 7-8 years. I read trade publications on the C.D.L markets and see stories of small companies on the East coast or south that are able to do separation and grinding in there yards of demolition debris including grinding gwb to be plowed into fields. Try that in Wa and you will face big fines or jail time. We did a job in Oregon last year and had the wood recyclers bidding for our painted wood debris! Yet here in Wa, I
