Also we have an environmental supplement available in a pdf format which features HEPAvacs, negative air machines, poly sheeting and other various related items. Just drop me a line and I'd be more than happy to send.

By rights you need to start in supplied air, do your monitoring than adjust your PPE down from there. You also need a medical surveillance program in place like Detroit said. We do this on every project we do torch work. You should have no problems getting down to half face respiratory protection provided you are not in too confining an area.

Every Lead job that I have done we always have our blood taken at the beginning and end of job. As far as PPE we use North Respirators with the charcoal Filters and cover-alls. At the start (first week or two) some of the Burners should have on the Personal air monitors to see how much they are being exposed to. From that reading you can then decide if you need to upgrade to Full Face respirators. I have only been on a few jobs that we had to do this. They were inside with VERY limited ventilation. Let me know if you need some help.

I need two, 5 story boilers cut up and removed in Dayton OH. Question, if my demo guys use good respirators, is that all they need or do they still need their blood sampled.

thanks
